SIA has been founded by Anticorruption Business Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and Knodis.
Anticorruption Business Council of the Kyrgyz Republic (“ABC”) is an independent, non-governmental organization established in Kyrgyzstan in 2009. ABC’s activities are focused on two different areas:
1. Public sector: ABC is working with different government ministries and government agencies in detecting and eliminating corrupt mechanisms and practices, as well as advocating policy changes.
2. Investor Confidence: ABC is working on initiatives to reduce investors exposure to corruption risk. One such initiative is SME Investor Attractiveness.
Knodis specialises in emerging markets corporate advisory and private sector development. Knodis is also the founder and fund manager of Knodis CIS Fund Ltd. Knodis CIS Fund Ltd, based in Hong Kong, targets SME’s in early transition countries of the former Soviet Union.
